LAMPUUK BEACH

Lampuuk Beach has a beach with gorgeous white sand, so this place is very well suited as a recreational area for swimming, sunbathing, fishing, surfing or just enjoying the beautiful beach. Before the tsunami, the region is a traditional settlement for the people of Aceh Besar with residents who work as fishermen, farmers cegkeh, PT SAI Cement factory workers and others. In this area there are also Padang Golf Seulawah with panoramic sea background. In the evening this beach was more beautiful and full of charm. Visitors can watch the beautiful sunset, thus providing an unforgettable pleasure. Around the coast are also many places to eat with fish vendors who are ready to be roasted and enjoyed by visitors directly.
When the tsunami hit Aceh, the region includes areas of very severe condition. Because this area is located on the shoreline and at the end of the island of Sumatra, the tsunami damage was fatal. Quite a few residents in the area became a victim. But now this place has managed again by the government so that visitors can again enjoy the beauty of this beach although the beach is no forbidden zone for the swim because the waves are too dangerous whirlpool. This region has also been established by local governments as a monument to the tsunami tragedy.
